About the Event
During the years that lightkeepers lived at the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse, eggs were not always available. It has been said that for spring holiday, they hunted seashells on the beach instead. That’s why kids love BIPS’ Annual Great Seashell Hunt, because it’s not only educational, it’s FUN! During the program, we'll learn fascinating facts about the barrier island shells found in SW Florida. Then the exciting hunt is on to find your own seashells on the beach and turn them into awesome prizes! Program begins at 11am.
