Reopening of Port Boca Grande Lighthouse & Museum

The Barrier Island Parks Society (BIPS) proudly announces the long-awaited reopening of the historic Port Boca Grande Lighthouse and Museum at Gasparilla Island State Park on Monday, May 5, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Closed for nearly eight months due to hurricane damage, the beloved 1890 landmark has been carefully restored and is ready once more to welcome visitors. This reopening not only celebrates the site’s rich maritime legacy but also stands as a testament to community resilience and preservation. Guests can explore refreshed museum exhibits, scenic coastal views, and the unique offerings of the museum gift shop.
