About the Author

Award winning author, Bruce Rougraff authored scientific articles, books and textbooks as a practicing Orthopedic Surgeon before beginning his adventure as a fiction writer. What began as a story to read to his grandchildren, became the thrilling and compelling family chapter books Doubloon! and Tarpon! Bruce's desire is to create exciting books that inspire young readers to engage in family-friendly history and fictional adventure. Both books won the New York Big Book Award for best chapter book, as well as two Purple Dragonfly Awards for cover design and chapter book. In addition to Doubloon! and sequel Tarpon!, Bruce plans to release the last book in this series, Hurricane! in 2022.
