Calusa Adventures!

Come explore nature and history with us in our new and exciting program, Calusa Adventures! On your Calusa Adventures, you will learn about the Mighty Calusa Indians who lived right here in southwest Florida over 500 years ago! Don't miss the fun of being a Calusa for a day! We'll create a traditional Calusa Village with homes and canals using dirt, palm fronds and shells from the beach, paint Calusa Masks, and like the Calusa, adorn ourselves with traditional handmade jewelry made of shells and beads, and non-toxic face and arm paint!

See you at 9:30 a.m. at the picnic pavilion, next to the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse! located inside Gasparilla Island State Park at the south end of Boca Grande, 880 Belcher Road. Come Explore with Us!

Calusa Adventures is free to current BIPS Members who enter coupon code BIPS. 

Calusa Adventures for non-members is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 yrs. to 11 yrs. old.
